For our first blog post, we are letting you in on our very first cleaning tip. Trust us- we have lots of them under our sleeve- so look forward to seeing more on our blog in the upcoming weeks.
This week, let’s talk about cleaning the kitchen.
We love an organised kitchen. There’s nothing like walking into the kitchen first thing in the morning to prepare your morning coffee, and knowing exactly where everything is. A personally organized kitchen really sets the tone and intention for your day. If we could only offer you one piece of advice, it would be this:
PLACE AND ORGANIZE your items purposefully.
Assess your relationship with food and your kitchen- as cheesy as it sounds- there is no ONE way to organize. If you’re a type of person who orders Uber-eats every night, your best bet is having a convenient and streamlined drawer which stores all the extra plastic utensils and serviettes that inevitably end up cluttering the kitchen. Alternatively, if you are a person who enjoys cooking every meal, make sure to store your spices, oils and everyday cooking essentials in a way that is accessible from your kitchen bench or island. Spice racks have really stepped up our organisation game in the kitchen.
The point is, having an organised kitchen is fundamental, but it doesn’t always have to look a certain way. Make it simple for yourself. Put on your favourite music, clear your counter space and start organising your kitchen in a way that makes sense to you. It might take some time, but you will feel refreshed once you know where all your kitchen necessities are.
Our starter pack for a beautiful, organised kitchen:
- Reusable storage bag kits- Pack of 5 to keep your produce fresh for longer.
- Set of 300 ml jars – we love these jars for storing nuts and seeds.
- Assorted drawer organisers to keep your drawers as minimally cluttered as possible.
- Utensil jar to keep right next to your stove.
- Dry food jar (1.3L), great for rice, pasta or oats.
With that, we’re off to organize our kitchens! We hope this cleaning tip has inspired you to do the same. What’s your favourite kitchen organisation tip? Share them with us through the comments, or on our Instagram and Facebook.
